Assaying

Withstanding the fires to prove the sheen of silver and the glimmer of gold.

For us, the quality supersedes the quantity. Hence, with each crafted piece of the precious metal, we send each specially curated bar or coin to the assay laboratories of a refinery. Functioning as a heart of the refining operation, we enhanced our positioning in the industry and the bullion trade by establishing three Gold Assay Laboratories in which more than 20,000 fire assays are performed every year.

Standardization

Standardization

At GGC, the domestic and the international market hold the same importance, in terms of both process and nature of the products/services. Hence, with the appropriate support of a highly qualified and well-experienced staff, a certification in management and functioning with IS/ISO 9001:2008 and ISO/IEC 17025 Quality systems standards, was achieved by us.

Moreover, every year, the assay laboratory participates in the national as well as international Proficiency Testing Programme (PTP) to maintain its consistency in the grade of delivery of the work.

Practicing in line with this standardization, our facilities were approved to accept gold from public, institutes, temples, corporations, and many more, by the Government of India led Gold Monetization Scheme, which was launched on 5th November, 2015 by the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.

Technology

Each laboratory by GGC, as strict in its method of evaluation as it is in quality check, has a dedicated XRF Section where the preliminary and classic fire assay methods for gold testing take place. However, when it comes to our dealing with the other precious metal such as silver, it uses both gravimetric and Potentiometric titration for maintain the precision.
